Overview
I am not much of a drawer, so this is the best that I could come up with. The Tier-0 Gateway is a logical gateway, it is backed by the edge-node-1 virtual machine and edge-node-2 virtual machine. The two Edge transport Nodes are part of an Edge Cluster, called vcf-edge-cluster, but I did not add that to the drawing.
On the pfSense router, FRR BGP is configured. Even though I have two interfaces listening (on VLAN 2711 and VLAN 2712), there is only one BGP AS configured, 64512. The other end is the Tier-0 Gateway, so it’s BGP AS is 64513. These two will peer and depending on settings, will redistribute routes.
